Description: The trail consists of approximately 18 miles of varied terrain including technical single track. Most of the trail winds through an old phosphate mine. The most unique aspect of the carter park trail is the narrow single track called the fingers which slither through a series of ridges.
Directions: Take I-4 to Lakeland to Exit 18. Head South on Highway 37 approximately 12 to 15 miles. (Also known as 98 or South Florida Avenue) towards Mulberry. The last major intersection along 37 prior to the trail is Shepherd Road. Approximately 1 mile past the Shepherd Road intersection turn left on Carter Road (East) Entrance to park is approximately 3/4 mile on the right (south).
